we (the whole family together) have not been on an overseas trip for quite a while. The last trip we took as a family was in 2001 to Perth, Australia. Aisyah was only 7 years old, irfan was 5 years old and jasmin was just a baby!
At that time, irfan was our #1 worry because he is super super hyperactive and we seriously dont know whether we can handle him and the baby together....and aisyah was such a darling at that time and we know she will be of more help than trouble :)
So we braved it and pick the shortest flying route to a "mat salleh" country that we are familiar with and Perth was the perfect choice. With only about 5 hours flying time......means only 5 hours of "high" stress and manageable.
The trip was fabulous and the kids loved the farm stay and we had a wonderful 16 days trip.
This year, 9 years after that trip we are planning another trip to down under and this time it is going to be THE GREAT ROAD TRIP DOWN UNDER - NSW 2010 :)
